History
The common goal of the Olympic Games is the peaceful development of humanity and commemorate this tradition that has existed for more than a thousand years in Greece. The values of excellence friendship and respect were selected to describe the basis of education for the benefit of human beings. The Athens Olympics were held in Greece in 2004. The costs of the games amounted to almost 9 billion euros. It has been one of the largest Olympics with 201 Olympic committees.
In these Olympics there were 28 sports in competition. Here 10,625 athletes from all over the world participated.

The mascots was: Febo and Atenea
The mascots was been represented on Febo and Atenea and they are simblings. These represent the huge unity of men and women through equality and fraternity. Febo wears a blue robe to remember the wonderful sea and Atenea wears orange to evoke the fascinating sun
